MenTOR Program: Men Transforming Our Relationships

February 24, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Events
Kiwassa Neighbourhood House is offering a MenTOR Program that will begin on February 24th from 7-9pm every Thursday for 15-20 weeks online via Zoom.

As part of their Family Violence Prevention work and in partnership with W.I.N.G.S (Women in Need of Gaining Strength), Kiwassa will be offering the MenTOR program for men who are looking to build healthier relationships.

MenTOR is a curriculum-based support group. In this group, men will discuss how to live by their values, in a safe place of ongoing support and accountability, to admit their mistakes and move forward. The men will learn new coping strategies and skills, be encouraged to make the changes that they feel are important, and grow in their awareness of the issues facing themselves and their partners.

VACFSS acknowledges, with deep respect and gratitude, that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓-speaking Musqueam Peoples, the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ilwətaʔɬ/Sel̓ílwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. We recognize the past, present, and future generations of the Coast Salish Peoples who help us steward this land, as well as honour and celebrate this place.
