Join us on February 27 & 28, 2019 for a unique conference showcasing restorative child welfare practices and research. Hosted by Vancouver Aboriginal Child and Family Services Society, the conference will promote dialogue about innovative, culturally-based way to support Indigenous families.

This is an important opportunity for Indigenous communities, service providers, government and academia come together to explore ways to implement the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action.

Strengthening our Relations: Restoring Family within Community will bring together Indigenous communities, service providers and government to explore the ways to support Indigenous families.

The conference will feature internationally celebrated keynote speakers including respected Stó:lõ leaders, mentors, and cultural advisors, former Lieutenant Governor, Honourable Steven Point and Dr. Gwen Point, and renowned expert on addictions, child development and trauma, Dr. Gabor Maté.
